Construction
After a careful research and design process has been completed a new pitch construction can get underway. The majority of new pitch constructions require an accompanying drainage system which will provide a playable surface throughout the season.
On a new natural pitch construction the first stage is to remove the existing topsoil and retain for re-spreading. The subsoil is then shaped by cutting the soil from higher ground and filling into the lower areas. The topsoil is then re-distributed to a uniform depth and is laser graded. The surface is now ready for a drainage system and the application of a sand carpet surface if required.
